The Challenges of Selling Books

I just received a notice from the warehouse that stocks my books. Apparently one of the suppliers hasn’t sold enough to keep an inventory on hand and has returned a number of books. What? The returned books cost a lot of money for shipping back to the warehouse.

I spent most of my time during the last month polishing and editing on book two of the Pursued by Evil, Called by God series. I probably shouBook Pursued Coverld have done a more to keep everybody aware of my progress and taken time to post updates on BOOK PURSUED.

On the plus side, last Sunday someone came up to me and said BOOK PURSUED was an exciting read and asked how I was proceeding with book two of the series and closing with an “I can’t wait for it to come out.”

I also talk to people I meet about BOOK PURSUED and pass out business cards whenever I have the opportunity.

My Glass

Glass half full

Reflections on giving
(from a mission trip in 1993)

by Woody Dahlberg

Millions need a glass of water in Jesus’ name,
but I have only one glass to give,
and I must keep filling it to give it out,
one glass at a time.
If I try to do more
we all go thirsty.
If I do not give it out,
the millions will go thirsty,
and the thirst of the world will rise up to judge me.

Footprints that Last

By Woody Dahlberg

The truth is as old as the Bible.
But it’s as new as tomorrow.
If I need help, I may ask.
If someone else needs help, I will give.

I cannot walk on this temporal earth twice.
If I do not do my part here, I will never do it.
But what I do now will impact lives for eternity.
My footprints on this earth will fade away.
Where I’m going will last forever.

In the beginning . . . I wrote

I began writing the “Pursued by Evil, Called by God” series in 1998 on a trip to Kenya. There were a lot of blank pages to fill, and I started the book series by writing it in pencil on some of those pages. Continue reading
