Through the valley and up to the peak,
I trust God to guide me, for I am weak.
Whether we are traveling through the valley or climbing the mountain, we must choose God as our source for daily strength and courage, Jesus as our redemption and hope of eternal life, and the Holy Spirit as our guide to continue the journey.
Or we can get lost in the depths of despair forever.
Romans 6:34 also defines the journey through the deathly valley and the hope we have of seeing God from the top of the mountain. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Only by the grace of God will we walk through the valley without perishing, and by believing in Jesus will we have eternal life. God is our guide. He leads us through the terrors of the valley to the heights of eternal hope by the salvation he offers us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
So I continue to write the messages of hope we have in God, the faith we have in Jesus to forgive and reconcile us to God, and our trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to give us the strength and courage to continue the journey—our journey through the valley and up the steep incline to the mountaintop.
